The Groove Nashville

Jerskin Fendrix, the electronic singer-songwriter flipping the script on avant-garde pop music, debut album, originally released in 2020' accompanied by a full-size booklet of lyrics & exclusive artworks selected by Jerskin Fendrix, with a centrefold tear-out poster. The record was named "Album of The Year" by Loud & Quiet. The Shropshire-born artist spent two years nurturing his sound at and around the iconic Brixton venue The Windmill with the likes of Jockstrap, Black Country New Road, and black midi; collaborating with the latter on a 2018 Christmas single receiving praise and radio coverage from Iggy Pop on BBC Radio 1. Jerskin's album follows the release of three critically acclaimed singles, each paired with cutting-edge visuals, as has become the artist's trademark since his very first online releases in 2018. Winterreise is the fruit of Jerskin Fendrix's first 3 years as an artist. This debut album spans an improbable range of music, skimming UK Grime, Bruce Springsteen, Sibelius, Joanna Newsom, PC Music and '50s Doo-Wop without alighting. Jerskin's Winterreise, named after Schubert's Winterreise, conveys the same message: if you spend too long writing a breakup album, something weird will happen.
