King's big break came when he joined Stax Records in the mid-Sixties becoming an international star.After the demise of Stax, he joined, first Utopia and then Tomato Records in 1976. Albert stayed at Tomato for seven years releasing King Albert in 1977 produced by the Detroit legend Don Davis and recorded at United Sound Systems.
