Oakland art student Pica Sullivan (Toby Smith) wasn't endearing herself to her teachers-for rendering her photographic studies with a Polaroid instead of 35 mm, and limiting her subjects to young African-American males in the belief they were going extinct. Making a friend of the abused Tobi (April Barnett), who disguises herself as a man for protection, they might be one another's salvation against a local slasher. Writer-director Cauleen Smith's rediscovered study co-stars Salim Akil. 86 min. Widescreen; Soundtrack: English; Subtitles: English (SDH); featurette; theatrical trailer; more.
